RL veteran Csaba Szepesvári hits Astra-caused recursive LaTeX macro compile loop
CsabaSzepesvari · x · 2026-09-14
RL researcher Csaba Szepesvári shares a real-world report: while having the Astra agent implement todos, LaTeX compilation appeared to hang forever. The cause: Astra had itself introduced a recursive \newcommand{\E}{\E}. "This is where AI is today," he notes, though he still admires the systems and expects the issues will be fixed.
