According to Bloomberg, Anthropic has selected Nasdaq for its IPO, which could come as soon as October and may match or exceed SpaceX's $86.3B raise — potentially another mega-IPO for the exchange this year. Neither Anthropic nor Nasdaq has confirmed.
More from the thread:
- The four largest US IPOs this year all listed on Nasdaq, including SpaceX ($86.3B) and SK Hynix ($26.5B).
- Anthropic was also finalizing a $15B revolving credit facility ahead of the listing.
- Its annualized revenue run-rate now exceeds $65B, over 7x the level at the end of last year.
- US IPO financing has hit $160.6B this year, the highest since 2021 — AI is reigniting the IPO market.
- By contrast, Sam Altman says OpenAI won't go public this year, citing safety concerns; he, Dario Amodei and Elon Musk have all urged slowing AI development, yet Anthropic's IPO prep continues.
