Yann LeCun fired back at AI pessimists by pointing out that Dario Amodei claimed back in 2019 that GPT-2 was too dangerous to open source. "I made fun of them then. Everyone should make fun of them now," LeCun wrote. a16z partner Martin Casado amplified the post approvingly — another round in the ongoing e/acc vs. AI-safety feud.
