Open-source macOS client Locus 3.0: one GUI for ChatGPT, Claude and Kimi plans, plus planning-executing agent duo

The developer behind Locus, an open-source macOS AI agent client, shipped a major 3.0 update:
- New support for Claude subscription plans (no API needed), joining existing ChatGPT and Kimi plan support — users can stay signed into multiple accounts and switch freely; API, local models (new ATS support) and vLLM also supported.
- Reworked Agent/Teams flow with a new DUO mode: one model plans while another executes (e.g. Fable 5.1 planning + GPT 5.6 executing); eval comparisons are in progress.
- An optional Agent Worlds plugin lets you visually watch and interact with running agents, launching with two themed worlds (space-themed Orbital Locus Outpost and One Piece-style The Local Line).
- Experimental Runtime Agents can run on other Mac/Linux machines even after quitting Locus; a mobile app is planned.
