SJTU, Tsinghua, ByteDance release 75-page roadmap for recursive self-improving AI

Researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua, ByteDance, Shanghai AI Lab and others released a 75-page paper, "The Last AI Built by Humans: Toward Genuine Recursive Self-Improvement," laying out a roadmap toward genuine recursive self-improvement (RSI) — AI systems that not only perform tasks better but continuously improve the mechanisms that make themselves better.
