ssh-mcp: an open-source MCP gateway for controlled AI access to SSH
merodac · reddit · 2026-09-14
A developer released ssh-mcp (github.com/gelse/ssh-mcp), a centralized MCP gateway giving AI agents controlled SSH access over Streamable HTTP. It ships as a Docker container with a config UI; SSH credentials stay on the gateway, with centrally enforced allow/deny command policies per connection and network, audit logging, and rate limiting. Built for safely letting AI troubleshoot homelab servers; currently alpha, seeking testers.
