- iOS 27 and macOS "Golden Gate" contain private hooks that let apps add Siri Extensions and replace Siri AI's server backend with third-party models.
- A demo shows Claude running as a Siri Extension via the Model Delegation API in App Intents, appearing in Siri's "Ask…" menu with the same underlying flow as the built-in ChatGPT extension.
- In some cases Siri Extensions beat Siri AI itself: Siri can't create a CSV, but Claude returns one on request. When system interaction is needed (e.g. setting a reminder), Claude relays the request back to Siri.
- Requires the private com\.apple.d… API.
