A synthesis of weekend conversations on consumer agents lays out the field's open problems: commerce mechanics (auctions fail to capture loyalty/LTV; supply- vs demand-constrained markets need different designs), agent incentives and marketing when agents become primary consumers, whether the first multiplayer pattern is agent-to-agent or agent-in-human-chats, designing agents that grow social capital, and patterns for agents hiring agents. The author is soliciting builders and products in the space.
