Fable vs Astra: $100 agent matches $200 Fable's output but runs far longer

The author compared two AI coding agents after switching from Fable to Astra: similar quality overall, but Astra can work much longer without producing clearly better work, is less annoying to use, and delivers roughly what $200/month Fable did for $100/month. OpenAI's stack including built-in image generation is a plus. Too early to pick a favorite.
