Developer Dimillian (known for Ice Cubes) has fully open-sourced Evergrow, a gothic top-down 2D action RPG for the browser inspired by Diablo and Path of Exile, saying it was built entirely with Astra (high) on his personal Codex subscription. The repo (63 stars, 364 commits) is live on GitHub.
Game highlights:
- Classless skill tree, gear hunting, and a growing wilderness map
- Keyboard/mouse, controller, and touch support, plus an offline Android build with native controls and a dual-screen map
- Cloud saves via ChatGPT sign-in or local browser saves, with character/map import and export
Anyone curious whether AI can ship a complete playable game can dig into the repo's structure and AGENTS.md for the engineering details.
