Future agents may design, fabricate locally and drone-deliver instead of buying

A widely shared prediction: in the near future, when you ask your agent to buy something, it may be cheaper and faster for the agent to design its own version, 3D print it at a local print farm and ship it by drone. Ben Reinhardt adds that "3D print" should be replaced with "synthesize" — making useful things will still require multiple processes, and this pattern will spread to far more industries than we can imagine today.
