David Sacks to OpenAI and Anthropic: "You're the frontier — stop asking permission to slow down"

Responding to Dario's "pace the frontier" and Sam's agreement, David Sacks says OpenAI and Anthropic are the frontier by any metric — a duopoly on frontier intelligence claiming a widening lead via recursive self-improvement. If unreleased models are scary enough to justify slowing down, he supports it — but they should stop pretending they need anyone's permission, an antitrust exemption, or regulatory approval.
