UBTECH scales humanoid production toward 10,000-unit capacity as U1 orders top 13k

UBTECH's Liuzhou factory rolled out its 1,000th humanoid robot last year and has since expanded from a 1,000-unit line toward 10,000-unit capacity. It has delivered 500 humanoids this year to automotive plants, electronics manufacturing and logistics warehouses, while orders for its bionic humanoid U1 have exceeded 13,000 units. The author frames humanoids as ultimately a manufacturing challenge: steadily building the automated production systems needed for much larger scale rather than making grand mass-production promises.
