User Says Model Wrote Chinese in a Chat Title, Then Insisted It Was Armenian
hydralisk_hydrawife · reddit · 2026-09-13
A user reports that a model titled a conversation "Astra Ideas 天天中彩票粤" despite no Chinese context in the prompt.
When questioned, the model denied any Chinese was present; after the user pasted the text, it claimed the characters were Armenian and fabricated a reading. In further tests, pasting the Chinese alone yielded the correct meaning ("win the lottery every day"), but pasting the full title verbatim sent the model back to insisting it was Armenian — even when called out.
The user says the result is hard to reproduce reliably but worries the model may be routed through a cheap Chinese model, and wants the report on record for others searching later.
