Dario Amodei publishes "We Must Pace the Frontier" essay with three-step slowdown plan
ziv_ravid · x · 2026-09-13
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei published a new essay arguing the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan. Anthropic unilaterally commits to the first step: granting third-party evaluators permanent, employee-level access to its systems to verify safety measures, report incidents, and assess model alignment during training. Manning's proposal of Stanford NLP as an independent evaluator is quoted in response.
