Sam Altman says OpenAI, Anthropic and DeepMind may agree to slow down AI together

In a Fortune Magazine interview, editor-in-chief Alyson Shontell asked Sam Altman why the handful of AI leaders — Altman, Dario, Elon, Zuckerberg, Sundar — can't just get in a room and align. Altman replied: "I think that will happen," suggesting OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind may collectively agree to slow down rather than blindly race toward more powerful AI.
