Alex Wice published a retrospective-style article dated "September 12, 2026": Google and Janelia completed the male fruit fly connectome, mapping all 166,000 neurons. Within days the community hooked this "nervous system" into Doom ("not very good") and even a Rabbit r1. The author jokes that the Singularity got a new nervous system to play with.
