Building a dune racer with the Astra agent: per-wheel suspension, drifting physics, Unreal port planned
LinusEkenstam · x · 2026-09-13
- Linus Ekenstam started by asking the Astra agent to model the Amble One vehicle from images; it snowballed into a full dune open-world racer.
- Already working: independent control of all four suspensions, power distribution, sand traction with dune drifting, particle effects, radio channels, sound FX, lights, dash controls, and multiple camera modes.
- In progress: world map generation, multi-vehicle support, BYO vehicle via 3D upload, a tuning garage, dune racing, and porting everything to Unreal for a graphics overhaul.
