'Pacing the frontier' isn't stopping AI — the speed of progress itself is becoming the risk

Clarifying what Dario, Sam, and Elon mean by "pacing the frontier": it's not "stop AI." The argument is that the speed of progress is itself becoming a risk — when every lab feels forced to ship the next breakthrough as fast as possible for fear competitors get there first, nobody has room to properly understand the risks, test what models can actually do, and verify safeguards still work before moving to the next generation.
