4KAgent: NeurIPS 2025 agentic system orchestrates 50+ models to restore any image to 4K

Researchers from Texas A&M, Stanford, Snap, Topaz Labs and others unveiled 4KAgent, billed as the world's first agentic photo restoration system, accepted at NeurIPS 2025 with code open-sourced on GitHub (823 stars).

The system bundles 50+ specialized models (denoising, deblurring, upscaling, face recovery, detail enhancement) and works like a human editor: it diagnoses the input image, plans and executes an action graph, then evaluates each step's output and adapts the plan as needed — letting non-experts restore any image to 4K quality without manually chaining AI tools.
