Open source developers are 'working hard to catch up' an exponentially learning system, so nerds must collaborate to keep big companies from taking the whole pie. He also quotes a thread alleging that the push to spook Congress into regulating AI is driven by people affiliated with Coefficient, Open Philanthropy, Anthropic, and/or OpenAI, who benefit financially from regulation.
