Responding to Dario Amodei's essay urging the AI industry to slow down and Anthropic's pledge to grant third-party evaluators permanent, employee-level access, Hugging Face CEO Clement Delangue argues alignment won't be solved behind the closed doors of a handful of frontier labs. Hugging Face is launching the Open Alignment Initiative led by Thom Wolf and applying to join the embedded evaluators program, pushing for safer AI through transparency.
