Zero point-cloud knowledge: AI handles iPhone 3D scan patching and 3D print prep

Developer toyoshi used an iPhone 3D scan of the real world and had GPT-6 Astra generate the 3D-printable patch data — with zero point-cloud processing knowledge of his own.

What surprised him most: he never indicated where the defect was; the model located and fixed the missing part on its own. He reflects that older models might have managed it too, but he had assumed it was impossible — seeing clever model use cases pushed him to retry things he'd given up on.
