OpenAI Pulls Out of Caltech Math Hackathon, Ends Sponsorship

Per @ns123abc, OpenAI has withdrawn from the Caltech math hackathon and is no longer sponsoring the event.
Commenters noted the lack of a remote participation option, which excludes disabled people who can't travel — an irony given that AI work itself runs over the network while jobs still require on-site presence.
