Google reportedly near recursive self-improvement, may announce before OpenAI/Anthropic IPOs

Citing a report from @pankajkumardev, this post claims Sergey Brin has been pushing resource allocation toward Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) since around August, and that Google DeepMind is now close to achieving RSI — AI recursively improving itself — with an announcement possible anytime. The author argues RSI turns the race into a contest of capital and compute, and it would be huge if Google pulls it off before Anthropic and OpenAI IPO. He also speculates the next Gemini Pro could ship this September. Unconfirmed rumor, treat with caution.
