Cursor launches Projects: thousands of cloud sub-agents that keep working while you sleep

Cursor has launched Projects, a feature where a project keeps context in the cloud for months, with an orchestrating agent delegating tasks to up to a thousand sub-agents and running periodic work without prompting.
- Each project gets its own dedicated cloud machine (Cloud Agents), so tasks continue even when your laptop is closed.
- When a task needs local testing, the orchestrating agent spins up a local agent on your machine.
- Cursor employee Fredrika Lindh demoed that her work, previously scattered across many threads, now lives in a single agent-managed conversation.
- The experience shifts from one-question-one-answer chats to collaborating with an autonomous colleague you don't have to micromanage.
