70+ UK MPs urge PM to back bill banning superintelligent AI development

Over 70 cross-party UK MPs and peers are calling on the Prime Minister to lead an international agreement prohibiting the development of superintelligent AI, while preserving strategic AI ambitions. They urge adoption of the Artificial Superintelligence Security Bill. Cambridge researcher David Krueger amplified the news, praising groups like ControlAI for working to prevent development of potentially existential superintelligence.
