Using a homemade Livox LiDAR rig, an IMU, and SLAM running on an iPad — no GNSS, no survey cart — a hobbyist mapped a cave during a 3.5-hour hike, cutting drift to tens of centimeters after loop closure. Spatial capture gets interesting where maps usually stop.
