Autonomous Lamp open-source companion robot adds dust, air, temperature and humidity sensing
dee_hw · x · 2026-09-11
- Autonomous's open-source companion robot Lamp ($499, down from $999) keeps evolving: it now senses dust, air quality, temperature and humidity — in a demo it noticed rising dust and asked Leo to open a window.
- Earlier updates: finds your face with the camera before speaking, separates your voice from its own speaker so you can interrupt mid-sentence, and pulses its LED ring while listening.
- Lamp and Reachy Mini both run on Autonomous OS and even voted to bring Microduck in as a friend. Repo is public.
