A researcher who spent three years doing pretraining work at both OpenAI and Anthropic (@hilbertspaess) resigned from Anthropic, saying neither company is acting responsibly and both are racing straight toward self-improving superintelligence, gambling with lives.
House Homeland Security Democrats amplified the resignation, warning that AI developers at top companies have said the technology could be existential, that the White House is unprepared to safeguard critical infrastructure, and that Congress must be briefed immediately on these threats.
