The list includes Gov. JB Pritzker, Gov. Kathy Hochul, and senators Mark Kelly, Bernie Sanders, Ted Cruz, and Patty Murray. Rep. Brad Sherman also promoted his bill to monitor for and prevent "ambitious, self-aware" AI systems from emerging.
