Watercolor-style UE5 footage via Depth conversion + local MiniMax H3, four scenes built in one day with Astra
Hailuo_AI · x · 2026-09-11
Japanese creator kiyoshishin demonstrated a two-step AI 3D scene workflow:
- Scene generation with GPT-6 Astra: have the model search for references, generate and refine images with GPT-Image2, then import into UE5.8 to enable time-of-day changes and walkable exploration rendered to video. He built a classroom, stairway, gym, and indoor pool in a single day.
- Watercolor post-processing: raw UE5 footage looks too CG, so he converts the video to a Depth pass, screenshots one reference image turned watercolor, and feeds it through a locally running MiniMax H3 for style transfer — with GPT-6 Astra handling the control. He wants to automate the whole pipeline without GPT next.
