Open-source pipeline turns Seedance AI video into real PBR textures on your 3D mesh
OdinLovis · x · 2026-10-28
Odin Lovis open-sourced video-to-texture, a pipeline that turns an AI-generated video into real UV textures on your 3D mesh (MIT license).
Key trick: the video is generated from your own Blender orbit, so the camera is known and frames fit the mesh exactly.
- Blender renders a clay Ferrari 458 orbit in a procedural city
- Seedance 2.5 restyles that exact camera move (e.g., ukiyo-e livery)
- nvdiffrast fits every frame onto the mesh
- Seedream 5 Pro completes the UV atlas
- PATINA converts it to real PBR
Output opens in Blender or exports as GLB; a 42s explainer shows the full flow.
