Your AI agent doesn't lack a bigger context window — it lacks a write path
minchoi · x · 2026-09-11
minchoi argues most AI agents don't actually have memory — they have retrieval plus prompt inflation. RAG only looks information up, while a memory system decides what's worth keeping (policies, preferences, facts, episodes, traces) and rebuilds the prompt from that every turn instead of stuffing more in. The missing piece, he says, isn't a bigger context window but a write path. He links a free course on building such a system.
