Agentic commerce dwarfs on-chain agent payments: sellers just see 'direct traffic'

Ketau argues we're massively undercounting AI agent-driven commerce: on-chain agent payments with crypto wallets are just the tip of the iceberg. Most of the time, agents find products, compare services, read docs and recommend software, then humans take over and pay with a credit card — so the winning seller just sees "direct traffic" with no idea why the customer arrived, and the losers never know they were considered. Matt Turck adds that agentic commerce is already much larger than agentic payments: agents own discovery, comparison and selection while humans only click buy; payment rails only reveal the last step.
