Anthropic says Alibaba, Moonshot and DeepSeek ran massive Claude distillation: 151M, 23M and 12M exchanges

Per a TechCrunch report citing Anthropic's disclosure (third-party account, details unverified), three Chinese AI labs allegedly ran industrial-scale distillation of Claude:
- Alibaba: 151M exchanges
- Moonshot (Kimi): 23M
- DeepSeek: 12M in just 14 days
Kimi and DeepSeek are also said to have secretly served Opus responses to their own users while harvesting the chain-of-thought for training. If confirmed, it would be the largest known distillation campaign against Claude, likely followed by account bans from Anthropic.
