NVIDIA releases Sol-Pi: four mechanisms to cut token costs of Pi coding agents

NVIDIA's NVlabs released SoL-Pi, a standalone Pi agent extension packaging four efficiency mechanisms discovered via scaled auto-research loops: Action Fusion (merging edits with validation calls), ObservationPack (stable handles for repeated large results), an Evidence-Preserving Reducer (compressing long logs into verified receipts), and Online Context Compact (compacting completed plan steps). All mechanisms are opt-in, use only Pi's public APIs, and aim to reduce token traffic, inference work, and agent turns without sacrificing evidence or task completion.
