OpenAI Launches Agents API: Hosted Codex Harness for Building Agents

OpenAI officially released the Agents API, bringing a hosted version of the Codex harness to applications. The launch video demos building an agent that investigates production incidents, connects to tools via MCP, follows a runbook, and delivers a shareable report with evidence and suggested next steps.
