Google Cloud launches official plugin bundling skills and tools for AI coding agents

Google Cloud announced a new plugin for AI coding agents, shipped as installable bundles that equip any agent with skills and tools for Google Cloud. Plugins solve the "tool coupling" problem — agents work best when related skills, docs and live-environment access act together — without managing complex dependencies. The first foundational plugin serves all GCP users, helping agents retrieve Cloud-related skills, use official docs and handle programmatic interactions. It complies with the open, vendor-neutral Agent Plugins specification and complements docs and remote MCP servers.
