KawanIsyarat is a local-first mobile tool bridging BISINDO sign language and spoken Indonesian fully offline, with Gemma 4 handling all vision, audio and text processing on-device. The project won the Cactus category at the Gemma 4 Good Hackathon, with the pitch that Deaf users shouldn't need Wi-Fi or bear all the adapting.
