Microsoft MVP Demos Personal AGI: Five Tools, Markdown and One LLM

dfinke · x · 2026-09-11

Doug Finke, a 16-time Microsoft MVP and creator of ImportExcel, live-demos a "Personal AGI" experiment: giving an AI agent a knowledge library it can organize, search, retrieve and use while working, instead of forgetting everything at session end.

The setup is deliberately minimal: a tiny harness, five basic tools, Markdown, and one LLM — testing how little machinery it takes before an AI compounds on knowledge you own. Inspired by Garry Tan's "library plus librarian" framing of G-Brain and Karpathy's LLM Wiki blueprint.
