NVIDIA open-sources BioNeMo Inference Runtime, the GPU engine behind AlphaFold DB at million-scale
AllThingsApx · x · 2026-09-10
NVIDIA released BioNeMo Inference Runtime as a public beta, open-sourcing the acceleration "secret sauce" behind its NIM microservices. The library provides GPU-accelerated inference for protein, nucleic-acid, and ligand structure prediction models, from FASTA/MSA input through to structure output.
- The team says it saved substantial compute, time, and cost when generating protein structures at million-scale for the AlphaFold Database
- Available on GitHub and PyPI, with docs and a technical blog
