The New York Times reports OpenAI beat NYU mathematician Tristan Buckmaster to a Navier-Stokes solution within a week, spurred by rumors that Anthropic had solved Millennium Prize problems. OpenAI says it has made substantial progress on another problem; rumors point to the Hodge Conjecture and Birch-Swinnerton-Dyer possibly falling next — three Millennium Problems in a month if true.
