Jack Clark unveiled an AI futures explorer—an artifact that lets people see different futures depending on different priors. It comes amid FT columnist John Burn-Murdoch's pushback on whether extreme scenarios legitimately frame debate, analogous to RCP8.5's overuse in climate discourse.
The team surveyed 10,000 Americans about AI futures (their views are viewable in the explorer) and invites anyone to take the survey themselves.
