OpenAI expands AI access across US government: $0 license fees, 50% off usage via GSA deal

OpenAI announced a major expansion of AI access across US government. A new multi-year GSA agreement (extended to eligible state, local and tribal governments) introduces a consumption-based offering starting Oct. 1: $0 monthly license fees, 50% off eligible usage, and no minimum commitment, paired with training and support to help public servants understand where AI helps and where human judgment matters.
