Andrew Roth predicted that AI disclosure statements in academic papers will go out of fashion as a temporary historical blip in 2026, lingering into 2027 in some fields and seeming quaint by 2028. Aran Nayebi agreed, saying such disclosures will eventually feel as absurd as acknowledging spellcheck today.
