Previously a small team hand-built and maintained hundreds of payer templates for custom forms, portals and documentation rules. When a payer changed rules overnight, templates broke, denials spiked, and fixes came only after someone noticed. The product was sold as automation but was really humans racing payer bureaucracy. Five months later, the AI agent approach changed that.
