Rysy: open-source agent that profiles people before you email them
Acceptable-Swing1619 · reddit · 2026-09-10
Rysy is an open-source agent that 'reads a person before you write to them,' building a psychological portrait of real-world traits, current preoccupations, and communication preferences — with soft-spot markers where the inference runs thin.
Two notable design choices: every draft must be grounded in that portrait (if the same draft would suit someone else, it doesn't ship), and an unwitting 'witness' reviews each draft from a stranger's perspective, returning ship/rewrite/flag verdicts. Suggested use cases include cold email, interview prep research, and internal phishing simulations — which naturally raises serious privacy and misuse concerns. Repo: transilienceai/Rysy.
