The NeurIPS Learn2Design competition is offering €10,000 for advanced new optimization algorithms for physical systems. First-round submissions have already beaten the organizers' hard baselines; the second public evaluation deadline is Sunday, in 4 days. Beyond the top-3, extra cash prizes go to the most surprising/creative solutions, judged by a scientific board including Max Dax (ELLIS Tübingen), Haixing Miao (Tsinghua), and Yisong Yue (UC San Diego).
