GPT Astra reconstructs articulated objects from a few photos, cracking the real2sim bottleneck

Two months ago the author argued at an RSS workshop panel that general real2sim — especially for articulated objects — remained unsolved and a huge robotics bottleneck. GPT Astra has changed that: from just a few photos it produces vivid articulated reconstructions, potentially shifting the paradigm for real2sim2real and agentic humanoid robotics.
